Greyhound Bus

This project centers on the rehabilitation of a 1947 Greyhound bus, transforming it into a mobile exhibition that explores the nuanced experiences of Black Americans during the era of segregation. Inspired by Robert Louis Brandon Edwards' research on Black mobility, the initiative delves into the "in-between" moments of transit, often overlooked in historical narratives. The bus will serve as an interactive space, utilizing augmented and virtual reality to immerse visitors in the past, allowing them to experience the choices and challenges faced by Black passengers during the Great Migration. By preserving this moving object, the project aims to foster a deeper understanding of cultural landscapes and the significance of everyday journeys in shaping history.
